Philosophers you need to be familiar with(read Wikipedia about them and their ideas and relevant articles about them): John Rawls, Robert Nozick.
I will post class ppts and you can read through them for reference, but DO NOT copy anything from the ppts, read some formal and scholarly articles about the topic and get more ideas.
Essay instruction: (Follow the steps A B and C, and you should have 1000 words in total)
Part A) Discuss and explain Rawls’ two principles of justice. (In doing this be sure to explain Rawls’ two principles of justice, his justification for both principles, his methodology, which consists of the original position, his conception of the bargainers in the original position, their task at hand, the basic structure of society, the veil of ignorance, and moral personality, this being, the basis for consideration of justice, according to Rawls. [At least 400 words]
Part B) Discuss and explain Nozick’s Entitlement Theory. [At least 400 words]
Part C) Argue that Rawls’ two principles of justice or Nozick’s Entitlement Theory more closely approximates distributive justice. [At least 200 words]
