Description:
You are going to create a paper prototype for a fictional mobile app called Reverse Time. To do so, walk through the following scenario, highlight interactions between the user (Sam) and the system (the Reverse Time app), and use paper prototyping to build interfaces for each interaction. After you are done with building your prototype, you are going to record and submit a video that shows how the user would interact with the system. Make sure that you show all the interactions in the same order indicated in the scenario.
Scenario:
It’s February 1st, 2018. Sam wakes up and looks at the clock by the side of his bed. “Oh shoot! it’s 8:45 am!” He is going to be late for work again. He gets anxious because he already has two strikes for showing up late to work. He quickly gets up and jumps in the shower. It’s now 8:55 am, and he doesn’t have time to have any breakfast. So he just dresses up and heads out. He runs to the train station, which is crowded because the trains are delayed, and everyone seems irritated. Information Systems Assignment

Sam waits on the platform. The first train arrives, but it’s so packed that no one can get on it. Sam gets more anxious. “What if my manager notices that I’m late?”. He takes some deep breaths to calm down a little bit. He hears another train arriving. He opens his eyes. “Yes!”. The train looks pretty empty. So he quickly gets on the train and holds on a handle. He thinks “I might be ok.” But he checks the time; “it’s 9:14 am”. His phone vibrates. He can guess that it’s a text from his manager.
He is first reluctant to check his phone but decides to do it anyway. He was right; it’s from his boss. “Where are you? It’s 9:15!” He tries to ignore the text. He thinks “It’s gonna be ok; I’ll be there soon.” But he gets another text “This is so irresponsible of you. We need to have a serious discussion about this today”. He panics; “This is it! I’m gonna lose my job!” He gets overwhelmed with thoughts; “It took me a year to find this job; I’m never gonna find another job again!” He tries to think of a solution. He first takes deep breathes. He takes his phone out and opens the Reverse Time app.
He quickly sets the time for February 1st, 2018, at 8:00 am. Since he has gone back in time a lot recently, the app reminds him that he is going to use his last time traveling token and requires him to confirm if he is aware of that. Sam thinks that he won’t make it for long without his job, so he decides to use the token and proceeds. The Reverse Time app informs Sam that it has initiated the time-traveling process. Sam closes his eyes and hopes that the app would work out for the very last time.
He hears a lot of crazy sounds but doesn’t open his eyes because last time that he did he saw pretty scary stuff. But for them, it all becomes so quiet. He can hear himself breathing heavily. He waits for a minute to calm down. Then, he slowly opens his eyes and checks the clock next to his bed. “It’s 7:00 am” he cheers. The Reverse Time app informs him that the time-traveling process was successful. Sam is happy that he will show up to work on time, but then he remembers that he can’t use the app to save his ass anymore. Information Systems Assignment
