Purpose and description of the assessment task

The aim of this assessment task is to share your learning from the country-specific analysis with your peers. The presentation will be established on a country specific analysis and should be based on the report. Your presentation is a ‘snapshot’ of your group report. The presentation is to be 25-30 minutes in duration with an additional 10-15 minutes for questions (a total of 40 minutes). You will not have enough time to present everything included in your report. Your group will need to decide what key sections you wish to present. You may select the most interesting points of comparison between the selected country and Australia. Management Assignment Help

I respectfully ask you to show consideration for your peers during these presentations. As many of you feel nervous when presenting, interruptions like people entering or leaving the room or cell phones ringing can have a major damaging impact. Please show your peers respect while they are presenting and they will show the same for you. It is highly recommended that presenters look professional and therefore business dress is desirable for presenters.

Case Report

Purpose and description of the assessment task

The aim of the case report is to improve your ability to analyse, compare, and contrast factors across two different countries: your selected country and Australia and to relate your analysis to international human resource management. The group will need to analyse how human resource management is organised in your country of choice and Australia and identify some of the similarities and differences between the two countries (country specific analysis). You may wish to concentrate on a few areas (because HRM is a broad area) such as recruitment and selection, training, compensation, performance management, industrial relations, or examine HRM broadly (it is up to you). You need to critically examine the reasons for these identified similarities and differences by comparing some of the following factors (country specific analysis): Management Assignment Help

1. Population – demographics, income distribution, employment statistics, age, income, housing, education and the skill level of the labour force.

2. Cultural issues – religion, body language, customs, family size, kinship and business customs.

3. Political issues – type of government, currency, incidence of terrorism, etc.

4. Legal issues – basis of law, corruption, contract law and human rights.

You do not need to examine all the above factors when doing the country specific analysis;

instead, please only include the most relevant ones. Management Assignment Help
