Description
The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. You will summarize the article, including the hypotheses, sample, methods, and results, then critically analyze the information presented.
Step 1: Pick one of the theories/topics we reviewed this term
Step 2: Find 3 scholarly articles related to the theory you chose:
Step 3: Write an annotated bibliography for each article including:
- APA style citation at the top of the page
- Summary of the article (1 paragraph)
- Research question: what did they ask?
- Methods: How did they attempt answer the question?
- Participants: Who participated in the study
- Results and Conclusions: What were the results of the study and the author’s conclusions
- An evaluation of the article (1 paragraph)
- is it useful? how?
- Did the study measure what it was supposed to measure? Could it be replicated (repeated) with the same or similar results?
- how does it compare to other sources you have found and/or the textbook?
- is the source biased or objective?
- does the article have cross-cultural applicability? to whom does it apply? to whom does it NOT apply?
Step 4: Submit 3 annotated bibliographies in Word or PDF document
Step 5: Attach a PDF of the article reviewed. You will not receive credit without including a copy of the article reviewed. Do not submit a hyperlink, it must be a PDF.
