I want you to write a Discussion about job hunting. There are plenty of ideas in Chapter 6 that you can use to write your answer. I will give you a hypothetical problem, and I want you to write a response. Try to shoot for 300 words. Lets assume you are nearing the end of your MS program in Human Services Administration at Saint Leo University. Lets assume you want to go to work in the human services field (i.e., use your new degree), and you want to work in some kind of management or supervisory position. Assume that your current employer is having financial problems and, even though you have done a good job for them, they cant offer you anything that is interesting. Therefore, you need to leave your current employer and find a new one. I suggest you write your answer in the form of a plan. What would you do to search for a job? How would you advertise yourself? How would you find out which employers have job openings? What tools would you use? What people would you contact? What organizations would you want to contact? What government agencies might be good employers for you? What nonprofit organizations might be good employers? What other things would you think about as you develop your plan for a job search?
