Objectives of this course:
Understand and articulate aspects of the public policy cycle, including policy formation, coalition building, how a bill becomes a law, policy implementation, and program evaluation.Achieve familiarity with public health policy and the various components of the public health system. Understand interrelationships among the public health system’s various administrative components. Demonstrate the ability to analyze and apply public health policy and administration principles to important health issues, policies and problems. Articulate the unique characteristics of public health practice as a social enterprise. Be able to conduct research using appropriate techniques to communicate and apply information gained to public policy and administration issues.
