You can include the historical elements of Broadway, but focus on choreographer, Agnes de Mille and Oklahoma’s  1943 “Dream Ballet”.  The Dream Ballet is considered the first American choreography to stand on it’s own.  It provided a plot, with dancing and complex staging.  This was considered innovation because it had never been done before.
