One of the issues that will be addressed in this course is poverty and the negative impacts that it has on the family and the community at large. Please discuss the following questions by providing your own intellectual opinions:
Why do people find themselves in poverty?
What are some of the cultural components that lead to a culture of poverty?
What other social issues can cause someone to find themselves in this situation?
What can be done to improve this condition?
What should the role of the church and the family be in dealing with this situation?
