Journalists and Congressmen wanted to know exactly what the CIA and the FBI were doing. In her work, Challenging the Secret Government, Kathryn Olmstead traces the investigations into American intelligence agencies. In this assignment, write a 3-4 page review of of her work. It must answer the following questions:
What role did journalists play in revealing the secrets of the CIA and the FBI? Why were journalists so eager to uncover the truth of these agencies and how did the American public respond?
