The purpose of this assignment is to expose you to some of the resources available at the library. Please abstract one substantive article from the following academic journals. Select a recent journal article (since 2015) that can be related to our course.
Your one-page word-processed review should include the following.
- A complete citation of the source at the top of the page. As the following:
Fan, C.C. and Youqin Huang. 2010. “Waves of rural brides: female marriage migration in China.” Annals of the Association of American Geographers 88 (2) 227-251.
- A paragraph identifying the author’s intent and focus of the article. Indicate what the theme or purpose is and indicate what the article covers. Provide a brief description of the points raised in the article.
- A paragraph that evaluates the author’s method and research. Is the research effective?
- A paragraph that summarizes the author’s conclusions. Indicate your own evaluation of the article. How is this article one of interest to a geography of East Asia?
