Media Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to look at a movie or TV show through a sociological lens. You will need to use your sociological imagination, the sociological perspective, concepts from the class (presentations and textbook) to successfully complete the assignment.
Assignment Requirements:
Synopsis of chosen media
What is the summary of the chosen piece?
Details of chosen movie, song or TV show
The title in the body
Explain how your choice relates to topics we have explored in the class

Race
Class
Gender
Socioeconomic Status
A minimum of five sociological concepts/terms
Please bold each concept/term
Why did you choose this piece of media?
Other Important Requirements:
Typed, double-spaced and 12 point font
Name, Course Information, and date should be in the left-hand corner of the first page
The paper needs to have an original title that is centered on the first page
Bold terms/concepts/theories (please do not bold full sentences)
The paper should be a minimum of 2 pages (works cited does not count as a page)
