The theoretical framework and hypotheses section of your proposal outlines several aspects of your proposal. This section:
Identifies and describes the theoretical framework that will be used to justify your hypotheses
Explains why the selected framework is appropriate for your proposal

Instructions: This section of the proposal should be 2-3 pages, typed, and double-spaced. The third part of this section should justify why that particular theory will explain what you expect to find in your proposal. Basically, why is this framework the most appropriate theory that can be called upon to justify your study? Finally, list your hypothesis or hypotheses by arguing that they are naturally supported by both the prior literature and the theory that you have just described. Your hypothesis should flow from your review of the literature and from the theory that you have just described.
